We are currently seeking a highly skilled, experienced Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist with GI/liver/pancreatobiliary subspecialty fellowship training to join our innovative medical team. The primary role is to perform microscopic examination of surgical pathology and cytology specimens. The candidate will also have responsibilities in Clinical Pathology.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and diagnose the existence and stages of diseases, especially of GI/liver/pancreatobiliary origin.
  • Examine sources of infection in body tissues, fluids, secretions and other scientific specimens to aid in determining the diagnosis and cause of diseases.
  • Provide anatomical pathology services as needed.
  • Provide thorough written evaluation and diagnosis for each case.
  • Work collaboratively with other physicians and laboratory staff.
  • Attend all required trainings, as applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal and institutional requirements.
  • Attend meetings in assigned division in Clinical Laboratory.

Requirements:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from accredited university.
  • Board-eligible/certified AP/CP Pathologist in good standing.
  • Completion of residency training or its equivalent training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • GI/liver/pancreatobiliary subspecialty fellowship training.
  • NJ medical license, valid and in good standing.
  • Impeccable work history, exemplifying excellence in the field.
  • Commitment to continued study, keeping up to date on the latest research.
  • Willingness to continue to develop and hone skills in keeping with the latest techniques.
  • Cognizant of patient confidentiality and compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to excellent patient care.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • United States citizenship or legal residence.
